Partnerships in Projects

Better Together

Our innovative approach to working with our church clients is a proven difference in planning church projects, working with a team of local and national expert consultants that have a strong history of working together on projects of similar type and program. When thinking about innovation in a project, it’s easy to go straight to technology.  In a time when technology is so common, the true innovation comes by providing memorable user experiences between the moments of technology.  Creating unique opportunities for interactions between people is where the innovation lies. When starting to think about each project, we begin by understanding and mapping out the user experience from the moment they arrive to the time they depart, considering each moment of experience along their path.

The majority of our consultants are located right here, in Birmingham, AL and are readily available to respond to any issue that may arise during construction. Our consultants prefer open collaboration between the GC and the respective trade partners early in the design phases to develop the best value approach to systems selections, design, and to control the costs of the project.

Successful teaming results when the teams’ personalities are based on achieving the client’s goals through seamless, collaborative communications. The architect cannot have an ego that overrides the client’s vision for the project. And, we believe this approach to each project, facilitated by the BIM process, is changing the way architecture is created and delivered. At the core, is our belief that there is always a better way. The ultimate success of a project is not only the final product, but how we get there. We have enjoyed the teaming process on numerous projects, both as the Design Architect (DA) and as the Architect of Record (AOR). We have developed an extensive database/schedule that addresses every phase and internal aspect of the project. With this schedule, we allocate every task to the most appropriate firm, with many tasks split between the teams. In all of our past teaming experiences, we essentially divided the projects equally between the two firms in collaboration with each other and the client if required.
